Seeking a full-time remote Inpatient Coder with at least three years of experience, who will review hospital patient medical records and assign accurate diagnostic or procedural codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRGs) to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with healthcare regulations. Key responsibilities: Apply coding classification standards and guidelines to medical record documentation for accurate coding Submit provider queries to resolve documentation discrepancies and perform quality assessments of records Research errors or missing documentation to ensure accurate coding processes and abstract appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes Required qualifications: AHIMA/AAPC Credentials Three or more years of inpatient medical and surgical coding experience, including for trauma centers and teaching facilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams Ability to maintain a 95% QA accuracy rate and meet production expectations Experience working in a remote environment
